After college, I was a YMCA Program Director in La Cañada, then moved to the Bay Area, where I met Paul. We have been married for 48 years, and have two kids and four grandchildren. We’ve been in Idaho for 30 years, though for many years we lived in Tahoe City, which feels like “home” more than anywhere else — probably because it’s a small town & where we raised our kids.
Though we loved Winter in Tahoe, we’re definitely not fans of the season in Boise, and until recent years spent most Winters in Latin America — Costa Rica, Guatemala, Ecuador & Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Travel has been a big part of our life — as a family and especially after retirement. at for a long time! Travel is definitely the theme that defines the high points of our life as a family and as a retired couple! Most trips were on our own, but we did travel occasionally with friends, and enjoyed several cruises over the years.
We’re still relatively healthy, but currently not up to long flights, so we’ll kind of hunker down for November through February. 🤨 Our daughter & 10 yr old grandson are about an hour away; our son & family, including their 10 yr old daughter & 7 yr old twin boys, live in Encinitas (a beautiful SoCal coastal town which seems close to heaven on earth!). We do hope to spend some time there this Winter.
I joined Classmates for a few months hoping to hear news & perhaps see some photos from this Summer’s reunion, but so far haven’t seen anything — though I did hear that the attendance was higher than the number signed up.
Blessings to all!
