Diane's Story
Life
1971-1975 Hi! I was born and lived on Kenilworth Ave in Elmhurst. My dad was an inspiration to me. He worked hard and my mom was a stay-at-home mom. I had great friends, and my first friend was Patti Halen. We still keep in touch. I struggled most of my childhood trying to understand why I entered into this world. I wanted to make a difference in the world all through my school years, always trying to get good grades. I was distracted easily by great looking men but only dated one. I started a mental health group in DuPage and it's such an inspiration to help others. I'm getting an award for it (2008).

and loved every minute of it. It was easy and I graduated from high school. I had a hard time at a four year college and didn't gradutate. Too much fun to study! My grandma only went to school through 7th grade cause she had to work on the farm for her family. Be grateful you graduated!
Wish I'd had children, wish I would have been a pom-pom girl, wish my husband was alive, wish I'd moved somewhere with more scenery like????????????? Wish I'd developed more personality. Wish I'd still be there with you!!!!!!
Thanks for the memories in high school. They were interesting. Really succeeded in grade school. Loved the outdoors all the time, you know.
Did anyone remember my pool? Great neighborhood. We looked after each other.
Went to Hawthorne Grade School along with my mother and grandmother... great family history in Elmhurst.
