Diane's Story

OK - Here it is in a short version - After graduation of 1974 I went to work at Sandoz Pharmaceuticals as a lab technician. Then to a private lab Consumer Product Testing Company in Fairfield NJ. During that time I met my future husband Bob Werner( Class of 1971 Boonton ) ( oldest brother of Linda and Bruce who were also in the class of 1974) Married in 1978 - yes now over 30 years Was a stay at home mom - Bob came with our oldest daughter Rhonda - Instant family We had another 2 girls - Sarah in 1981 and Ashley in 1984 Yes (3) daughters - teenage years were real fun Lived in Lincoln Park until 2003. In 1996 Bob was in a horrible motorcycle accident in which now he is a paraplegic and our lives changed a bit ( oh he's fine as can be ) popping wheelies on his rascal and drives form here to there in his mini van. We decided to get away from the high taxes and over population in NJ and moved to PA to our retirement home of 24 acres ( of peace & quiet ) 8 cats, 3 Great Danes.. and 2 quads for the trails and the family of 10 deer that come to the deer feeder every night. Just like Montville use to be in the old days. We absolutely love it out here. I still work in NJ for a law firm as a supervisor.Loving my job - I go to the office and I also work from home too, Modern technolog...Expand for more
y - wireless internet - got to love it - sit out by the pool and stay connected to the office and the real world. We have 6 beautiful grandchildren (3) girls and (3) boys Yes - back into the Big Bird and Elmo scene again and loving every minute. Bob and I love just to be home, but we did venture to New Zealand and Austrailia in 2005 for our dream trip, we cruised and land toured for almost a month. Although in PA , one of my favorite places still to go to is the jersey shore ( Manasquan - forever )and make sure I get there at least once a year. Bob and I were actively involved with the New Jersey Jaycees for many years and still are with the Camp for Special Needs that they own in PA. I enjoy antique auctions / estate sales and have for over 25 years - buy and sell - Oh yes did the Ebay world too. My most famous story was the purchase of a 1905 Waterman antique fountain pen which I bought it for $100.00 at auction an sold it for $14,000.00 - yes there is many a crazy collectors out there. We gather with our friends and family with our annual pig roast and bomb fire ( yes we are allowed here in the boondocks to have a bomb fire - we get crazy with burning anything that will fit into the 6 foot fire ring ) Diane Just added a photo of me and 1 of the 3 great danes
