Diane's Story

I am married I have three children. My oldest is soon to be 34,she is married and has 1 daughter ( she is the light of my life. She was diagnosed at 17mo. with NEUROBLASTOMA cancer. We spent lots of time at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City taking chemo, radiation, surgery, stem cell extraction and then stem cell reimplantation. Today she is a healthy happy 3.5 year old who has been cancer free since Feb.2010. We praise and give GOD lots thanks for her survival. And the group of doctors who helped preform this miracle. We almost lost her twice but he has more work for her to do.) My son is 19 and about to finish his first year of college, he attends on a track scholarship, he was a great swimmer on his high school team they won conference every year he swam...Expand for more
. He throws things in track( discus, shot put, hammer and Javelin). My youngest is 16 and a junior in high school. She is a doer , color guard, cheerleading, volunteers at the free community kitchen, and her big love is church activities. I am a surgical scrub LPN in Sedalia,MO. where we live. I have done this job for 22 years and love it . I have tried other areas in nursing an a part-time basis and nothing can compare to surgery. I have been married for 20 years. My husband Dave does house remodels and other construction things. My mother and sister both live in Macomb, so we get back that way occasionally. I am really sorry to hear that the school is being sold. I loved my life in Industry and wish it would have never changed. Life goes on and we get older.
