Diane's Story
Life
Graduated with a BA in Math from Nasson College in Maine in 1969. Worked for Burroughs/Unisys Corp for 20 years, then AT&T for 12 years. Worked as a computer programmer, then PC support. I have two lovely daughters and a wonderful husband.
College
I graduated from Nasson College, Springvale, Maine in 1969. It went bankrupt in 1984! So my college no longer exists! I spent my 1st semester sophomore year in France at the University of Strasbourg. It was quite an experience for a 19 year old!
Workplace
Graduating as a Math major, my first job was as a Statistica...Expand for more
l Analyst in the Washington, DC area. I soon became a computer programmer and stayed in the computer business for the next 32 years. I moved to Massachusetts and joined Burroughs Corporation as a computer programmer. I got married in 1979 and transferred to Long Island with Burroughs. I had my first daughter in 1982 and transferred to Florida. I had my second daughter in 1985 and transferred to Michigan with Burroughs/Unisys. In 1988 I transferred to New Jersey and am still here. I left Unisys and joined AT&T as a PC support specialist until I was laid off in 2004.
