Dianna's Story

I have been happily married to Dale for 37 years. I met him on a blind date in 1971. Lisa Smith, who married John Mitchell (remember he was the big football star at Shaker) set me up with the date and we married one year later. I was a student at SUNY, Oneonta and ended up finishing my degree several years later. We lived in Berlin, Germany for three years and have lived in Fayetteville, NC, Austin, TX and Ponte Vedra Bch, FL for the last 31 years where we have raised three daughters. I was a stay at home mom for over 20 years and have worked part time at Pottery Barn in Jacksonville for six ...Expand for more
years where I do visual work, sales and classes (I've always loved interior design!). Our daughters are Lisa who is 26 and is nearly finished with her masters in elementary education in Alabama, Tara, 23 who just graduated from Auburn University and is looking for a job in this horrible job market. and Jennie, 22 who is a student here in Jacksonville. I come back to upstate NY every summer to spend time with my mother who has a lake house at Brantingham Lake and have been back as recently as last year to see Shaker High (it looks terrific!). I am hoping to work out details to come to the reunion!
