Dianne's Story
Life
I married Eddie Rodgers (Woodlawn, '82) in May of 1986. Our son, Mason Hunter, was born in November of 1995. Eddie was diagnosed with cancer and passed away in December of 2001.
I remarried in September of 2004 and gained two "bonus" kids as well as a puppy. LOL. Was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006, but have completed treatments (chemo and radiation, yuk!!)and have no evidence of disease. Sailed through it with few issues, many thanks to medications for queasiness, inability to sleep, itching, water retention, dehydration, allergies, and the list goes on and on. If there's a drug for it, I took it. :) I also kept a blog of the experience. If you search on the search engine that starts with a "g" and ends with oogle (LOL) using stofmind and blogger, you'll find it. Check it out when you need a giggle. I still post on it from time to time, just to keep out of town family up to date.

rew back thick and curly after chemo. It's the strangest thing..... As for the color, well, I treat it like my shoes. I have lots of shoes. LOL
Anyway, life is really good. I am currently single and living back in Gardendale. One never knows where life will lead...I certainly have no clue. In typical "me" fashion, I am just following the yellow brick road.

It'd be great to hear from people I don't usually see at Walmart or Target (can you believe we have a Target??). And if you think the blonde (or brunette, or redhead - depends on what looked good to me the last time I had it colored) looks sorta familiar, she might just be me. :):) Just remember that I have chemo-brain (get to claim it for 10 years). You may have to help me with names. I'm sure it's the chemo and not that I'm just getting older. :)
