Dina's Story
For my old Calimesa/Yucaipa friends: I had to move away at the end of middle school (abruptly) with my mom & stepfather. I hated that I had to move! We went to Montesano, WA where I went for three years.
For my Monty friends: I lleft high school a year early with Janice Carter and we went to Grays Harbor College. Ended up marrying John Gallagher in Monty and worked in Aberdeen and Hoquiam in retail, insurance and real estate. Got divorced during that time. Then I moved to Tacoma and worked in insurance again and also started singing with bands. Moved back to So, Cal. in 1983 and started singing with bands there. heir real crazy time. Dealt with celebrities. I also worked as a commercial artist, designed my own clothing line and was a "Miss Budweiser" for the Long Beach Toyota Gran Prix. I got sick and had numerous surgeries over a span of about five years. Finally was well enough to go back into music. Worked during the day as freelance PR acct. exec. and freelance writer for LA music mags. I continued to sing with my band "Mother's Little Monster" and also did backup vocal work, as well as doing studio recordings for songwriters. I finally was no longer able to sing because of my illness. Got married again and we moved to North Idaho to finally escape LA and had two kids. Split about three years ago. I spend all my time homeschooling my kids and hanging out with them. That's my life!
