Life
20 years! Wow, has it been that long? I try not to think about it in terms of years. I did some interesting things in the last 20. I got married, raised a daughter, got divorced, lost my grandfather, my father, my grandmother, my dad, my youngest niece and this year my mom! Anyone who KNEW me or KNOWS me, can tell you that Jackie Batey was my world. I affectionately refer to her as "my love", which she has always been. Even when I'm sure she wondered about me some days. This year, 2007, two days before my 38th (I can write 38 y.o. and NOT cringe), my mother lost her battle with a disease she had been battling for as long as I could remember. in a far better place than here. I know that if I live right I will see her again! So, no worries for me. Additionally, I fulfilled several dreams-wife and mother, author and singer. I am publishing my newest work next March. My first novel is called "The Boyfriend Game" (some folks have gotten their free copy SMILE!). I sing locally with The Miracle Gospel Group--we release our first CD this October. Some of my dreams have manifested in some very interesting ways. Wanna know more? Just ask.
