Dixie's Story
I went to Rose High from 1964 - 1967, then married Jackie Hardee. We had 2 children and were married 19 years. After a divorce, I was single for 14 years. In 1999, while playing on the computer, I met a man in a chat room. We were not in the "dating" chatrooms and neither of us were looking for someone to date or marry. Well it ended up we did both. we got married. I worked at Burroughs Wellcome Pharmaceuticals for 25 years and at ECU for 5 years. For the past 8 1/2 years I work at Lynchburg College. I have a 5 year old granddaughter and a 2 year old grandson. My parents, brother & sister in-law, my son and daughter in law are still in Greenville, so I try to get down there about once every 4 - 6 weeks for a weekend.
