Andrea's Story
Life
As COO and Owner, Andréa Thornton spearheads marketing, advertising and public relations campaigns for Community Home Loans, LLC and CHL Financial Services. She is also responsible for community outreach efforts and developing integral partnerships with mortgage industry influencers. She is an appropriate media contact.
Prior to working with Community Home Loans, Thornton served as a media relations specialist for multiple account teams at Ketchum Public Relations. Her efforts included editorial outreach and program development for healthcare, consumer, business-to-business and technology brands. Before her tenure with Ketchum, Thornton contributed to the business-to-business group at Edelman Worldwide in Atlanta. Clients included Allstate Insurance Company, Simon Property Group (Mall of Georgia, Lenox, and Phipps Plaza), Scientific Atlanta, 100 Black Men of America and DuPont (national spokesperson for the Chemicals division).
Thornton has also served as an instructor at Washington State University and Clark Atlanta University. She is the 2001 recipient of the National Silver Anvil and Georgia Phoenix Award for excellence in her field.
Thornton holds a BA in Journalism from Western Washington University and a MA in Communications from Washington State University. She is published in the Journal of Marketing communications.
