Dolly's Story
I am presently living in Hammond Oregon. I have been here for over 22 years. I left Michigan joining the Coast Guard in 1980. I married a guy I meant in the C.G. We were married for 10 years and had 2 sons. Got stationed here in Oregon and I stayed. Married again. Big mistake. And now single for the past 8 years. Working for the same company for now 18 years. I haven't been back to Michigan since 2000. Went to the autoshow and saw how much everything has changed and looks so much smaller. My son's are grown. One in the Navy who will make it his career. st son lives near by and works in the bridge building industry. He has made me a grandma. What a wonder title! My grandson is 2 yrs. old and it has been a total pleasure having him in our lives. Mom and my son are a family not married but they might as well be. She is also a gift in my life not having a daughter and now I do. Besides a friend. I still have ties to Michigan. Best Friends just don't fade away. I am in contact with several. I still have family there too.
Life's lessons have taught me life is too short to hold grudges- Life is worth living and living to it's fullest. This is what I am doing. Enjoying myself and my life.
