Dolly's Story

I moved from Mobile immediately after graduation. Worked my way through UAB and graduated with an accounting degree. Married another student working his way through school and we divorced a few years after graduating. I then moved to Daytona Beach FL. married and lived happily ever after for 28 years with the love of my life. We had a wonderful time working and traveling together. Ron passed away in April 2009, and life changed once again. I have step children and grandchildren and great grandchildren from my time with Ron. We still stay in touch, they were once a big part of my life and I really enjoyed being a young grandmother, without the work of having raised the children, as they were out of the house before Ron and I meet. I have too much love to give and life to live to be content with my wonderful memories. I love to travel and work at something I enjoy. I have owned 4 successful businesses in Daytona Beach, FL ~ which I sold. Now I have some rental properties, and investments and I work at a much more relaxed pace. I am an insu...Expand for more
rance agent, I work for the duck AFLAC, I love the name recognition and the product, there just isn't enough time in my busy life to devote as much time to my career anymore. I now live in California with my final love. He is based in California, so that is where we will be for the next few years, until his retirement. Having retired each time I sold a business, and really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to my final retirement. I cann't imagine another business opportunity interesting me enough to devote the time and effort needed. Right now we travel a lot, I'm on an old car club national driving tour write now writing this. We also like to see the world. After Ron passed and when I was ready to enter the dating world, an aquaintance introduced Harry & I because we were the only two people she knew that both had to get pages added to our passports. It is our common theme. After joining classmates I reconnected with a few old classmates and I going to be visiting with some on this trip! Still think someone should organize a 40th reunion.
