Dolores's Story
After not seeing each other for 34 years except at a reunion where we didn't talk, I ran into my husband Joe McQill, at the VA Hospital when I took my Dad up there to help him We decided to go for a coffee, and at the next table sat Joe (whom I had graduated with) We stared at each other and finally got up to talk. When I left,I forgot to
mention my last name and telephone number. Just that my parents lived 2 blocks away from him. He looked for me all summer around the area
and after 5 months,one night I received a call from my Mom
saying a gentlemen was looking for me. Aft...Expand for more
er he left his number, I called him back and he asked me out. Our first date was magical,and we knew right from the start, it was meant to be. We got engaged three months later on a horse and carriage in Bethlehem on a gorgeous starlit night in December, and was married exactly one year later on the same date we met. It was meant to be!
We now live in a home with 3 wonderful dogs that keep us busy.
I"m still friends with the same person from high school when we met in 7th grade. It's strange, but we always seem to move a few blocks away from each other since our early days.
