Don's Story
Don is from Hilo, Hawaii. He is married to Rowena Knaphus from Salt Lake City, Utah. After graduating from Hilo High School in 1962, he entered the United States Air Force and served as a radar operator. e in Math Education at Portland State University (Portland, Oregon). He taught Math in the Hillsboro High School District for 19 years before becoming a Construction Painting Contractor for 23 years. Don and his wife celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June of 2021. They are currently blessed with 6 children and 25 grandchildren. Forest Grove has been their home since 1968.
