Don's Story
Life
I am married to a beautiful lady. Kathy and I have been married for almost 20 years. She is originally from St. Louis. This is the second marriage for both of us. I have two wonderful sons. Chris is 38 and John is 34. They are both firefighter/paramedics in the St.Louis area. I also have a step son. Jason is 35 and works as a cumputer guru in Atlanta. We have four happy grand children. Tyler is 13, Nathan is 8, Ainsley is 7, and Hayden is 4. I've worked for the Illinois Department of Transportation for 41 years and hope to retire in another 10 years. ix blocks from BTHS (the old west main campus) so I am often reminded of the great four years that I spent there. Reminising does wonders for the attitude. I hope that all of you get a chance now and then to reminise about those great years we spent there. I'm in the " you have to grow older but you don't have to grow up " mode. It saves a lot of agravation sometimes and I really think that it helps to keep you young at heart and mind. We have enough real life around us every day to try to bring us down and reflecting back on those great days seems to ease the turmoil around me. I guess it's what ever foats your boat.
