Don's Story
Life
My wife Peggy and I have been married 36 years as of August 28, 2007. Our son Scott is married and was ordained as a Presbyterian pastor in 2004. He is the pastor of a church in Little Rock, Iowa where he lives with his wife, Colleen and our three grandchildren, Caleb 6 1/2, Lillian 4 and Josiah who is almost 2. Peggy is still with the Children's Bureau in Indianapolis and has received her master's degree in social work. I have now gone on 6 mission trips to Russia and work full-time with "The Boaz Project" a group that serves orphanages in Russia and now, India. I serve as a fundraiser and volunteer coordinator. re for over 27 years. We live on Hill Valley Dr. in Indianapolis, where we have lived for 24 years now. Our other child, Christy perished in an automobile accident in 1993.
At this point, Peggy and I are looking forward to spending the next several years serving God whereever He leads us. I spent many years in the construction industry, but have found that now, I am interested in making a difference for others in the years I have left. I really enjoy hearing from friends and keeping up with what everyone is doing. Mary Ann (Reuss)Thompson from our class went to Russia with Peggy and me in 2006 on one of our mission trips. She has just become engaged. No date is set for the wedding yet, but we are all excited for her.
