Don's Story
Life
My wife Maria, of 48 years, and I are living in Las Vegas. In October 2002, we followed our son and daughter who were working here along with their spouses.
We are really enjoying the variety of things to do in this exciting city... something new to do every day. Lots of beautiful sights, the casinos keep getting rebuilt and made bigger, fancier,with overflowing buffets,and the concerts and shows are great.We see a concert about every quarter.
We moved here in October 2002 from Montgomery where I had worked for the Alabama State Mental Health Department for the previous 12 years as Director of Support Services at Tarwater Developmental Center.
Prior to that job we lived in Orlando for 2 years where I worked in the subcontracts division at Martin Marietta Aerospace Company.

r in Montgomery with an investment banking firm for 2 years after I retired from the Army in 1986.
For 25 years we had a great life in the Army after graduating from Auburn in '61. I served a year in Vietnam '66-'67, 12 years in the USA, all across the country, and 12 years in Germany in 6 different cities. I married Maria Krammer in January '63. Maria is from Augsburg, Germany which is north of Munich. While in the Army I got a MBA at Babson College in Boston; attended two senior military colleges--Command and General Staff College,and the Air War College; was the commander of two companies, two battalions, was selected to command a brigade;and retired as a colonel.
