Don S. Lew

Don Lew passed away unexpectedly at Kaiser Hospital in Antioch. He was born in San Francisco, CA to Ken and Bonnie Lew; the first of eight children. In the early 1960s, Don moved with his family to Pittsburg, CA where his family owned and operated Kens Quality Foods for many years. Don graduated from Pittsburg High in 1969 and earned his AA degree from DVC College. In 1971, Don married his high school sweetheart, Patty Vaughan. After working at the family store for many years, Don went to work for Shell Chemical in Martinez, retiring after 30 years. He also served on the Iron House Board of Directors in Oakley since 2000. great chef & loved to BBQ. He was an exceptional friend with a great sense of humor and made everyone near him feel special. Above all else, Don loved his family.
Don is survived by his loving wife Patty; his mother, Bonnie Lew of Twain Harte; his son, Patrick of Roseville; his son, Michael of Elk Grove; and his daughter, Michelle Lew (husband, Ivan Jackson) of Elk Grove; his grandchildren, Ashley and Andrew Jackson of Elk Grove; and his grandson, Hunter Lew of Roseville. He is also survived by 3 brothers and 4 sisters, his mother-in-law Patsy Vaughan of Pittsburg, and sister-in-law Vickie Chamberlain of Bay Point.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ken Lew and Father-in-law, Earl Vaughan.
