Don's Story
I retired from Federal Civil Service (Department of Defense -- Navy Department -- electronics) in 1999 and moved to my ancestral home in Montana (Plains, Montana).
In November 2003, I was elected Councilman and am currently President of the Council. My 4 yr term will expire this Dec '07.
In May of 2004, Pamela (Rothe) and I were married following our reuniting at our 35th high school reunion. We currently reside in my grandfather`s house in Plains. This year '07, we plan to build a home outside of town.
Happy January 2009 ... heaven help us.
My term as Councilman was up at the end of '07, and for the past year I have been an active member of the Plains Volunteer Fire Department. I am currently Captain of our 17 member department. In 2008 I responded to over 30...Expand for more
incidents; five of which were major structural fires.
In June of '08, Pamela and a friend bought the local flower shop; actually, it's a gift shop, flower shop and liquor store. We're not rich, but it's holding it's own.
Our new house is nearing completion ( I still have the trim to do ) and we have been living in it for over 2 months now. It's located on 10 acres in the wooded hills and is as close to heaven as one can get and still be here. Pamela and I are still very happy together and this May we celebrate our fifth anniversary.
