Don's Story
I grew up in Northwest Denver. Went to North High. Went to SCSC in Pueblo, majoring in electronics. For 50 years I've been doing audio production and announcing work for radio and TV. I've been a DJ, newsman, spot announcer for KCSJ, KKAM, KDKO, KDEN, KLZ. I can tell you lots of stories about famous people I've met, but I'll spare you for now!
I've done the Channel Six auction for 35 years, people recognize my face from that! One thing I've done that's actually worth bragging about -- in 1994 I was a 10 grand winner on America's Funniest Home Videos. un doing goofy videos for YouTube! And of course, I'm a hobbyist--I love to play the piano and keyboards. I do photography of all sorts. Oh yea, one more thing. A few years ago I wrote a local best-selling book about early Denver TV, "Whatever Happened To Fred'n'Fae?" It's got 140 pictures in it, and the Tattered Cover had it. I met Fae at some local broadcasting clubs that I belong to. Hey, write me and tell me what YOU'VE been up to. In high school I was a rather shy quiet "nerd" type of person, and you have to be careful about those kinds of people! I was in the North High Senior Play. But I didn't do as much socially as I would have like to. Maybe that's why I'm still single! Looking forward toward hearing from YOU!
