Don's Story
Hi everyone!
I hope this note finds you well and thriving. I offer my heartfelt best wishes for each and every one of you and keep all of you in my prayers quite often. Most assuredly, some of our friends have endured some rough times through no fault of their own such as downsizing or terrible illness just to name a few. Sadly, some have passed on and I know you will join me in remembering them always. In some ways I regret how I structured my Senior year. I only had homeroom and one class and then received credits for going to work so I was gone by 10:45 am. And for another unusual twist, at the graduation ceremony (yes I graduated ;^) I sat in the audience with my girlfriend and clapped for all of you. It was surreal for sure and great fun! am and worked 70+ hour weeks in construction. I hardly remember the 80's and early 90's just due to hard work. I do remember one 14 month stretch with 12 hour days and only 4 days off. Yuck! I've been married to a wonderful gal since '94. She is an absolute blessing and like most ladies could have done better than me ;^) I am slowly but surely renovating our 1970's ranch style home and 5 of the 10 acres from pasture to a properly landscaped front yard. We have turned this place into a bird, bee, and butterfly haven and are lucky to have attracted Purple Martins, Yellow Breasted Chats and a tagged Monarch Butterfly last year so we are counting our blessings. We have a mountain in our back and side yard view and quite often I look up and have to pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming!!!
