Don's Story
Upon graduation I spent less than a year at the University of Florida then began a 20 year career in broadcasting as an on-air personality in radio & television. I tried anchoring a morning news program, which I didn't enjoy because I was not permitted to be creative/entertaining like I was on radio. I did voice-over media commercials for local and national companies. Essentially retired in the 80s and returned to Tampa. g custom homes, etc., eventually becoming an independent building and construction consultant primarily for mortgage companies and federal government housing programs. Retired, I now operate a sportsmens hunting lodge in GA and have commercial real estate investments.
Married to an amazing woman, Julie.......five incredible children (3 girls, 2 boys) and 12 grandchildren.
I love being a daddy and grand daddy.
My interests include family, friends, travel, Corvettes, streetrods and the outdoors.
