I was a Naval Aviator (co-pilot) for almost 10yrs. As I was leaving the service I developed clinical depression during the last four months. I have been symptom free most of the 22yrs that I've had clinical depression. It's taken some maintenance to make that happen. I learned many lessons with my experience over the many years. To make a positive of this I wanted to get involved in helping to reduce school suicides. One of the results was writing, "My Side of Depression". It was to be a high school presentation but when teachers read it, I was asked to publish it. It is now a book on demand and can be ordered almost anywhere. The goal is to educate people as to what is happening inside the mind of someone with depression as I (and most anyone else with clinical depression) have experienced it.
