Dona's Story
currently in nashville tn, co owner of maplewood art studios. scholarship to graduate school at the art institute of chicago, and graduated with honors in 1994. lived and worked there for 11 years. met my husband at saic who is also an visual artist.
moved to nashville in 1998, where we have a farm and eventually will establish our studios there if the republicans and politics don't drive us away.
we both work in multiple materials. did alot of large scale copper,bronze and iron metal casting while in grad school, however now we primarily work in ceramics, casting and blowing glass, as well as painting, drawing etc. trying to learn/add fim and ...Expand for more
digital imaging, but it's way too hard to sit still in front of the computer.
whenever i come home, it's harder and harder to recognize old landmarks, hangouts, etc. with all the building, building and rebuilding.......
have gotten into training my dog in agility. it's fascinating to watch him process commands, going through tunnels, over jumps and other obstacles. it's an amazing way to build a relationship with your dog. not only did i learn a great deal about my foster, i also learned a great deal about myself.
i'm way too cheap to become a gold member, but i did join facebook, and should have some stuff up there soon.
