Donald's Story
A little about me:
Job history:
I served as a mechanic in the US Navy aboard a nuclear submarine for 6 years.. One of my specialty jobs aboard the submarine was maintaining air quality by operating CO2 scrubbers and burners, and using Electrolytic Oxygen Generation for making oxygen for breathing. I achieved the rank of E5 and received my honorable discharge.
Afterward, I served as a State of Texas prison guard for 6 years. I was actually shanked as a prison guard. I suffered severe from PTSD from the military and ended up alcoholic and homeless for a couple years, living in my S-10 pickup. I got a job at the University of Texas at Arlington as a web designer for 7 years. At the age of 40, I received a calling to go back to school to be a social worker; so I completed a Bachelor and then a Masters Degree in Social Work program. I then worked as a forensics therapist inside the Tarrant County jail in Fort Worth. I have been a group lecturer and therapist for batterer intervention groups, for anger and depression management groups, and for relaxation and stress management groups.
Current jobs:

ing from mental health disorders and addictions..
I often say that there are so many good jobs in life and it's so sad I don't have time to do them all. I have been blessed with doing a few really great jobs that resulted in who I am today. All steps work together for the good for those called according to Gods plan!
Personal stuff:
I have a sweet and beautiful wife named Ronda. I have two adult sons. I am very proud of both of them. Ronda has 3 adult aged children that are also great adults. We have 5 granddaughters and 5 grandsons that all call me "Pappy."
I remember counting down the days to getting out of school and to getting out of the Navy. Sometimes I remember someone and wonder what ever happened to (insert your name here). I hope to run into a shipmate or a classmate again. There really are some great memories. Even the times that we didn't quite understand each other, we still share a great story and our lives are connected always.
By the way, I loved my afro in high-school. I wore it that way first because a girl told me she liked it, second because I felt it was my little way of rebelling. I still laugh at it too and love showing old photos of it to friends to laugh also.
