DONALD's Story
It has been a long and full 62 years since we graduated from TAHS in 1960. I've decided this is a good time to update information about me. I can hardly believe I will be turning 80 this year.
From 1960 to 1970, I went to Sault Tech for two years, worked for a couple of years, then graduated from the U of M in December 1966. I then worked at Michigan Bell for a year and a half before starting in law school at Wayne State and the U of M until graduation in 1971.
Many things too numerous to list happened during this time, but I do remember our 10-year reunion well. It was sad to hear that we lost Lowell Long so soon. but I could still recognize everyone.
From 1971 to 1980, I passed the Bar exam, got married, and had three different jobs in Lansing (1971-1973), Kalamazoo (1973-1978) and back to Lansing (1978). I'...Expand for more
ve stayed in Lansing since 1978 until the present.
I have six kids, 11 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren (the last two in September and November). My first wife died in 2000. I remarried in 2002, and we celebrate 19 years this year.
I retired from my job in the Michigan Attorney General's office in November 2014. (36 years). I enjoy retirement. We have had chances to travel a bit and enjoy our grandchildren. I could talk on for a long time about them, but to summarize them they are all great.
I was very disappointed that COVID took away our chance for a 60th reunion. I would like it if we could reconvene as soon as possible. Perhaps even we could do a virtual reunion via this Classmates' website.
I enjoy keeping up with things on the website and remember everyone well,
Best regards, Don Erickson
