Donald's Story
Been down a difficult road, of course I made it difficult. This was 1998 now it's 11 years later. To much to tell, it's been so long. Was married for 20 years and had two great boys. My oldest son passed away at the age of 33 in 2006. My other son is 34 and living in California. I'm single now and my time is consumed with working two jobs. I took on a second job 3 years ago to help me through a tuff time. Any free time I have is spent in the desert by myself. Very little contact with anybody from High School. People move on. What I am looking forward to is working part time at one job and living in the desert, nice thought and maybe it will happen. 4/24/09 Being more honest today, had a great life and today it's getting better. like hiking the hills at Mt. Sac. but got to meet alot of great people. Completed AOD studies and I'm a certified Addiction Treatment Counselor working in the treatment and recovery field for the last 15 years.
My second job for the last 3 years is a DUI counselor at night in Covina. Will update from time to time..Hey this is a great update..today April 25 2010 I am retired and living in the desert as I had planed..yeah right! last year I was laid off and after 16 years working in the counseling field..It had changed so much I decieded to retired..August 30 2009 I moved from friendly El Monte and went to stay with a friend who was a retired parole office(he wasen't mine) until I found property that I could call home..I'm living in Landers on 5ac with no neighbors..It's great!!Life is great and I hope everybody feels haft as good as myself...
