Donna's Story

Life My life has not been easy. After high school I battled drug and alcohol addiction for nearly 10 years. During this time I was also struggling with my gender idendity. Maybe this contributed to my alcoholism, maybe not. I managed a somewhat normal life until I reached my forties and then the gender identity disorder overwhelmed me. am living full time as a woman and loving it. I have never been happier in many, many ways. And yet, there is a profound sadness as people I thought of as friends and family shun me. My true friends love and encourage me. That's it in a nutshell, I love to talk about my transgenderism so please feel free to write, but hold your negative comments to yourself, please. I would also like to mention that two years ago I began serious study of the piano again and have made huge progress and that is a source of great happiness for me.
