Yet I do it because it is the right thing to do ! If only all people seen things the way I do ,the world would be so much better of a place .But the sad reality is that most are only out for themselves and what they stand to gain from most situations .I sadly learned this the hard way. All of my life I have always extended a helping hand whenever and wherever I could ... ... I made it through my rough times and I havent let that change who I am or what I do because this is who I am and the things I do I do them from the heart not looking to gain anything. The only thing I would like to see is for the people I have helped to pay it forward ... when you see someone else in need reach a hand out to help them if possible . It can be simple things such as holding a door for an elderly person or helping load groceries for them .Doesnt have to be a huge thing ... random acts of kindness will change the world and make it a much nicer place for all of us and you may actually be surprised how much better it makes you feel about life in itself and who YOU are ! When you see someone that looks like they might be having a hard day SMILE say hello, it could change that person's life ... The main thing I guess is we all face struggles each day so be kinder then needed and someone may return the favor in your time of need . Thanks for reading my rant and I hope in some way this makes a difference ,DON".

Alittle part of my lifeHI MY NAME IS DONALD WHITE,I am disabled and have a disease called Neurofibromatosis type two. Neurofibromatosis (NF) is a genetic condition, which is caused by a gene mutation. Half of people who have NF get it through the process of genetic inheritance, getting the disease because someone else in the family gene pool has passed it down. The other half have no family histor...y of the disease and it just âshows upâ, this is called spontaneous gene mutation.
This disease is characterized by tumors which appear anywhere in the body. In my case the tumors are in my arms, right shoulder, my legs, up and down my spine and in the back of my neck. The ones on my spine cause pressure on the nerves and muscles. They basically cut off certain functions of my body depending upon where they are. I have had several surgeries to remove tumors (which come back). My first surgery was in 1976. I became totally disabled in 2003. The disease has caused extensive nerve damage in my body and I have lost the use of my left leg completely, and suffered damage to the control of my right leg.
I have a leg brace for my left leg that locks my knee into place in order for me to stand with a walker. This keeps my knee from buckling. I also have an afo brace on my right leg that supports me. Both braces help keep my toes up.
However, I am now permanently in a wheel chair. Tumors in my right shoulder are keeping me from being able to support myself with a walker to stand. Tumors in my right leg and in behind my kneecap are keeping me from walking at all. I also have sleep Apnea and have to self-cath myself to empty my bladder. My condition has gotten worse through the years and Iâm now at the point where my condition regulates what I need for my life.
I was, choose for a habitat home back in july of this year,they are going to build the home to meet my needs, i have been so blessed, thanks to everone that has commited on my pictures that i have posted on face book of , my habitat home that is being built Donald White, here in Towanda, Kansas
IAM AN EASY GOING SHY GUY, BLOND HAIR , BLUE EYES I LOVE BEING AROUND PEOPLE , MAKING FRIENDS IAM DISABLED, FROM A SPINE PROBLEM , I HAVE NEUROFIBROMATIST, TUMMORS THAT GROW AL OVER THE SPINE ,ETC DISTROYING THE NERVES. I AM IN A WHEELCHAIR MOST OF THE TIME , BUT IAM ABLE TO WALK WITH A WALKER, AND SPECIAL LEG BRACES".
