Donna's Story
Hi All,
I have to say I feel I've been really blessed in my life. I have a wonderful husband, John, who I've been married to for almost 14 years now. Together we raised my 3 sons from my previous marriage. I love my sons so much and have thoroughly enjoyed watching them grow up to be wonderful people. My two oldest sons are both married and serving in the Army. Ryan is stationed in AK and has completed one tour in Iraq. Joe is stationed in WA and will be deploying to Iraq later this month (April '08). My youngest, Danny, is still living at home and attending college. I couldn't be more proud of all three.
We moved to Arkansas in 1996. We miss family and friends back in Cali, but we love it here in AR. The seasons are beautiful and there's no smog. I worked for Sam's Club in the buying office for 8 years and now I work as a...Expand for more
sales analyst for a Wal-Mart shoe supplier. Working in the retail industry comes in handy since I love shopping and it's given me the opportunity to travel to some cool places like New York and China.
My home life is pretty quiet now that the kids are grown. When the weather is nice we head out to the lake. I love being out on the water...it's so peaceful and relaxing. My husband bought me a chihuahua to help with the empty nest blues. Rico is my baby now...he's so much fun and always happy. I've never been a dog-person but now I know why older people love their dogs so much. I'm looking forward to being a grandma when my first grandson arrives this Dec.
