Donna's Story

Donna Hughes Boenisch's schools include John Marshall High School. Donna later attended Emporia State University. Worked as a Girl Scout Advisor in Salina, KS for a year. Worked on and off as a substitute teacher in several school districts on and off since 1979. ul since 1982, retired from volunteer fire service in Boone County Fire District in 2006, and in 2013 from the FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Team Loved these groups and the highly recognized teams from Columbia, MO where we lived for 15 years. I was an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) with the fire department. I have always also been active in our Lutheran churches that we have belonged to.

I finally finished my two year project.  It is the Sunrise, Sunset Afghan pattern and variation.  The yarn has metallic threads going through it, so it also sparkles.  Hope the recipient will like it.
