Donna's Story
Life
After graduation, worked for Lockheed-Martin and later at Walt Disney World as an Administrative Assistant. Was married for 7 years and lived in Tavares, Fl. Husband and I worked jobs in Orlando and St. Pete. When home, we owned and worked a 100-acre "gentleman's ranch." Were the first people in Fl to have cattle from France. Also, raised various breeds of horses. Married again in 1973 and acquired 2 children. Birth of last child in 1977. Spent 27 years raising and educating them. I was one of those fortunate women who was known as a homemaker. When filling out paperwork for volunteer work, wrote "World Ruler" under "Present occupation." You know the old saying, "The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world." That was me! Husband and I are retired, and if the stock mark...Expand for more

I am still a "man's woman" and enjoy the company of men more than women. What this means is that I'm still a tomboy! Own a Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins 24-valve turbo diesel pickup, Peugeot wagon, and a Moto Guzzi motorcycle. My mom moved next door to me and she and I work out at the Downtown YMCA. I walk 1 hour every evening and love to read health magazines. Last child left home 3 years ago, so I now have some time to myself...that is, when husband isn't asking me to do something! Would love to hear from classmates of Lakeview who remember me. I was one of those kids who was bussed 17 miles to the Winter Garden "we all grew up together" territory. Had a hard time fitting in...but made an impression on all of the teachers and some of the boys.
