Donna's Story
I didn't go off to college but stayed home instead and got my first job at Life & Casualty Insurance Company at the age of 17 as a keypunch operator and later began doing clerical type work. Was married by the time I was 19 and had my only son at the age of 22. I guess I thought I would have a houseful of kids but God had other ideas. I'm grateful I only had one child, it's a much harder job than it looks raising children and being a parent. I've continued working over the last 36 years, and don't see myself retiring anytime soon. onsulting firm and have been there a total of 14 years. I've been married twice, but soon I'll be single longer than I was married (almost 12 the first time, 8 the second). I won't say I'll never get married again but I would have to insist on a long engagement. I enjoy the freedom of being single, although it would be nice to share my "golden years" with someone. My parents have been married for 54 years. I'm now a grandmother and I'm doing everything I'm supposed to . . . spoiling him rotten but it's so much fun! I'm "Nonna" and I'm loving every minute of it.
