Donna's Story

Life I've been married for 35 years to my college sweetheart, have two married children, two granddaughers and two grandsons. I was on sabbatical from school to enjoy the birth of my daughter's first child, but am now retired from teaching. I volunteer in church and community efforts and stay extremely busy for someone who's unemployed. My family lost everything in Hurricane Katrina. sure you can relate, is the same. I miss going to Arabi and Chalmette, visiting family and friends, and eating at Jeanfreau's. I hate that St. Robert Catholic Church is now demolished. Lisa Knower and I are still very good friends. She was not living in New Orleans in Aug. 05 but in Rosemary Beach, Florida. Now that I'm 57, I often wonder about the "road not taken". What would my life be like had I not moved away? I miss seeing people connected to my youth. I would welcome an email from any former classmate. God bless, Donna
