Donna's Story
Life
It took me 8 long years, but I finally finished my undergraduate degree in May 2007. I am now the proud owner of a BA in philosophy. I graduated college with Jeff Wills's son, which was really odd, but somehow it seemed fitting.
I've decided to leave librarianship to the librarians, and I am now working in the nonprofit industry. It's wonderful helping people. I highly recommend a job in service to others. There's a satisfaction there that can't be found anywhere else.
I'm still single with no children. I lost one of my beloved kitties in April 2007 and one in January 2008 as a result of the tainted pet food scandal. I still have my Gizmo, though. He lives a pretty sedate life and tolerates my rather hectic one. He truly is my baby.

er graduation; however, my mom was diagnosed with dementia in September 2006 and has been in assisted living since. Her disease is progressing, and it's rather difficult at times to deal with it. My sister and I do the best we can to support each other as we watch our mother deterioriate. Perhaps one day researchers will find a cure for this dreadful disease so we don't have to see our loved ones become strangers before our eyes.
I still write bad poetry and creative nonfiction. And I'm still working on my novel and two screenplays and have now added a memoir to the mix. Someday I'll finish all these things. But until then, I just plug away whenever the muse calls on me.
