Donna's Story
I met my husband Ken roller skating. Many of you may or may not know that I competed in dance from about the age of 12. I met Ken at Kendall Park Rink in Jan. of 1967 and we married Aug. 1967. We continued to skate and compete in dance for many years and we were usually first or second place in the state. We skated in between children and still skate today but we only do it for exercise and fun. 46 years later here we are still together. I have 3 daughters, Lisa age 44 is the assistant vice principle of our high school. Jennifer age 41 is the manager and part owner by marriage of Alice's Wonderland in Greeley PA. and Jaime age 37 is a manager at Lowes. I have 4 grandchildren. girls, Emily, Jillian and Elizabeth. All under the age of 12.
We lived in Dunellen for 15 years and then we came out to PA..Lake Wallenpaupack and fell in love. It is a great place to raise a family and so beautiful.
Recently went back to Johnson Ave in Piscataway where I grew up only to find my house had been replaced by a much larger one and almost all the shrubs and trees that my parents had planted were gone. It was very sad.
My parents had moved here to PA a year after us...only child ...only grandkids, made sense. They have both passed away. My mom just in 2007 at the age of 90.
I met with several classmates a few time a year for lunch at Cafe Picasso's in Somerville and keep in touch with as many as I can.
