Donna's Story
Life
I'm not old, just a helluva lot wiser. Relationships? I give up - married, divorced, engaged, then widowed months before the event, & life just keeps getting more complicated.Like a festering Strep A infection if you catch my drift (those that are unaware - think flesh eating disease!). As far as kids - I kind of forgot. I have 2 cats named George & Coco instead. I think I also make up for that by spoiling my amazing teen aged nephews (one at Kenner!), and my niece.
School
I was one of those strange people whom enjoyed school. I wouldn't change anything about the people I met, or the people I knew since early childhood. I believe everything happens for a reason, thus everything that happened was meant to. As far as crushes go, my biggest one was someone who didn't attend KCVI. But there were a few guys at school who were worth thinking about, and some who still haunt my dreams today. The teachers ...Expand for more
who most stand out in my mind, and who inspired me were Mrs. McIntyre (Biology), and Mr. Derry (English).
Workplace
I am an RN employed at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center in Toronto. I work in Labour & Delivery in a Level III Regional Perinatal High Risk Birthing Centre. We're performing at Womens College (my original employer - before we got swallowed up by the place on Bayview Ave) - until 2010, then we move there. Been here since graduation from the Nursing Program at SSFC in 1985.Couldn't ask for better people to work with. I'm blessed in that the relationship myself and nursing colleagues have with the physicians can't be beat, likely b/c we work so closely together. Most days we work more closely with the OB/GYN's, and Anaesthetists than we do with each other. As a result the atmosphere is very positive and charged with energy. I miss Peterborough sometimes, but I really couldn't ask for more.
