Donna's Story
I was married to my husband, Allen, and we would have celebrated our 35th anniversary in July, however, Allen passed away April 28th. At graduation from New Berlin West I really had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I met Allen in 1975 when we were part of a singing group called The New Life Singers, affiliated with WVCY, the Christian radio station in Milwaukee where Allen worked as Chief Engineer. Radio and television were the farthest thing from my mind when I graduated from high school, but God had different ideas...and this has been an amazing journey. Allen and I have lived in Wisconsin, Ohio, Montana, and Illinois. However, seven years ago Allen had a stroke which ended his career in radio and television. Then six years ago he had another stroke which put him in a nursing home. Life has been difficult, but God is faithful and He has sustained me.
