Donna's Story
After high school I married and had three children, working full-time. Then went to college after the third child, achieving a BA in Journalism and an MS in Mass Communications, also while working. Not sure how I did it all! BUT...I did. Worked at Gavilan College as the Public Information Officer for 21 years. Retired at 51 after my husband died, and went into the corporate world as a project manager. take a k-12 job as a PIO for the school district and to be near my granddaughter Shelby, and my daughter, My eldest son Michael and his wife Rebecca (no children) are diplomats posted at the US embassy in Bern, Switzerland. My middle son Dave (lives in Gilroy, not married) is an International Ironworker's Union member (he helped build the Shark's arena in San Jose!). My daughter Jody and her husband Tony live near me. They have my only grandchild, Shelby, who I adore more than life itsself!
