Donna's Story
Life
I am living in Harrisburg NC, right out side of CHARLOTTE. I am divorced since 1983. I have one daughter and three granddaughters. I am in the Health Care business. I take care if the elderly, but also take care of children from time to time. I work for several major Health Care Agencies in Concord and Charlotte.I am also taking Criminal Justice courses@the local college here in Charlotte, with a particular interest in criminal profiling.
I love animals. I have many. I have three cats, five birds, a dog name Mitzie,{ 120 pound black lab}and an iguanana name Mozart.
I went to JE EDMONDS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL from 1960 -1966. A few of my friends here were Linda Hardman, Mike Evans, Debra Simpson, Mary Biles, Christy Price, Gay Dooley, Benny Collier, Particia Jackson, Debra and Diane Jones, Teddy Adams, Ted Neil, Terry McDaniel and Joan Copeland, Sherry Denny, Annette Crowe to name a few!
I have done many interesting things in my life. I have traveled around the United States, met several famous people, modeled for Sears and Penny's, and worked at the Playboy CLub in Atlanta in 1973 before moving to Ft. lauderdale, Fla. where I eventually decided on a career in the Health Care Business!
I have many hobbies which include skydiving, shooting range, reading, writing, music, cooking, making hook rugs, and working out on my trampoliene. My grandchildren also keep me very busy. My favorite pass time{other than skydiving} is reading crime novels and studing criminal profiling and crime research on the internet.

ate from FPHS, but I know many people who did. I was sent away to a boarding school in Rabun Gap, Ga. after I passed the 9th grade at Forest Park Junior High School in 1969. I was considered a "WILD CHILD" and was sent there to "better myself". It did not work out at the boarding school, so I was sent to live with my Grandmother in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. to finish up the 10th grade at Ft. Lauderdale High School. After that I moved back to Charlotte and went to Garinger High School and then I moved back to Atlanta where I lived on Peachtree Street and worked at the Club for a year before moving back to Florida where I lived in Ft. Lauderdale for the next 26yrs. I moved back here to NC 7 yrs ago to be near my grandchildren and daughter!.A few of my friends during my years at FPJH were, Wanda Barton, Benny Goddard, Margie Campbell, Debra Simpson, Debbie and Diane Jones, Mark and Phillip Crisler, Ricky McClendon, Ray Cantrell, Mary Biles, Debra Gatlin, Benny Collier, Denny Purdy, Janice Humphrey, and Becky Mercer , Sherry Scott, and Katrina Hunter to name a few!
You may remember me by my picture that is up on the site of what I look like today, or you may remember me by my very outgoing and strong personality. I was the class clown. I was in Mr. Jennings and Mr. McQueens office more that I care to remember. I would love to hear from anyone who remembers me or thinks they remember me. Reconnecting with your past from your young years can be a very uplifting thing, if nothing else, it can make you feel like a kid all over again.
