Donna's Story
Life
I grew up in a great town...Lake Jackson...during a great time to be a kid. I went to college - 5, not 4 years -- OOPS! Went to work, but that job did not last. I came home and worked and then went to work for the State in 1985 and lived with my grandmothers. I met my husband in 1986, we married in 1987 and both continued to work for TDCJ. I went to a couple of reunions back in Lake Jackson, and I know some of my friends thought I was making up the man because he never came with me. We got a gift from God in 1993 when we had our daughter, Sara. His mom died in 1998. He asked for divorce in 2000. Sara and I moved in with my paren...Expand for more
ts. My dad had cancer at the time, so it was hard, but I will never regret having all that time with dad. Dad died June 2002 and we now have 4 generations in our house -- Lucille (mom's mother), Linda Mills (my mom), myself and my daughter. We live in a little town called Dodge (10 miles east of Huntsville). I will have worked for the State of Texas for 20 years this July, but with a child only 12, I will have to keep working, but maybe not for TDCJ. I love what I do at work, I love working at the church, and I enjoy my family. I would love to hear from some of you that I went to school with and catch up. Hope to hear from you all soon.
