Donna's Story
Life
Arkansas has been my home for the last 29 years. Soon after our June graduation from Wilson, I moved with my family to Chicago, where we lived until the Arkansas transfer in 1972. I met my future husband here; we married in 1974 and had four children; he died in 1987. I acquired both both my undergraduate and masters degrees as a widow with four kids. I am now remarried to a university administrator and teach a fifth grade. My son, now 24, is graduated college and married; my daughter Jeanne, 23, is also a college graduate; my younger son Joe and youngest daughter Teresa are in college at Webster University in St. Louis.

test memory of high school would be the fun that the art committee had during Ramnastics. Those were the days of the tissue carnation! The teacher I remember with the greatest warmth and respect would be Ira Bud Grossman, from Ben Franklin. I remember being shocked at his coffee pot in the classroom, because I had newly arrived from a strict private school and the colorful, warm ambiance he created left an indelible impression on my memory.
I am happy in the Natural State, but my husband (an avid and accomplished golfer) and I will be traveling. I would like to retire in the Carolinas, and enjoy the mountains and the ocean once again.
