Donna's Story
In 1969 I got a job at Grand Teton National Park, where I met Robert Ellis, who was working for the National Park Service.
We were married in 1970 and moved to Crater Lake in Oregon. I thought I understood snow, living in Cheyenne and all-->by the time February rolled around at Crater Lake, we could NOT see out our second-story windows. The snow was 18 feet deep.
That was enough for Robert. We moved to Tucson, where he worked at Saguaro Nationa...Expand for more
l Park. I worked in the medical lab at a local hospital.
We have two daughters, Tana and Lindsey, 28 and 25. Tana is going to grad school in Oregon. Lindsey and her new husband Nour live in the D.C. area.
I am now working for a software development company. Robbie has a big cactus greenhouse and aviary, where he raises finches, quail, turtles, tortoises, you name it.
Last January it snowed in Tucson. We ran out to get pictures before it melted.
