Donna's Story
Life
I haven't changed a BIT! HA!! I live in Ahwatukee with my husband Michael and I work as an independent contractor/secretarial service at my home... our son Jeremiah is 25 and lives in Mesa, and our daughter Jenna (age 22) just graduated UofA (?!)(Sun Devil fans... where did we go wrong?)and moved to Los Angeles to live by the ocean. So we're empty nesters in our 40's -- NOT BAD! I still keep in touch with a few of my Gilbert friends! I'll never forget those Gilbert days! I had SO MUCH FUN!
School
Gilbert High -- I met so many cool and amazing people when I moved to Gilbert for my junior year of high school... I don't see many of them any more, but all of my memories of Gilbert are fun and happy ones. The football games were great -- STATE CHAMPS in '75 -- awesome! Lunch at The Dairy Bar or tostadas at Penny Nichols' house. The Dances... the BOYS! Senior Carrizo...Expand for more
za's Spanish Class with Paul Smith! Human pyramids on the lawn. Basketball games! I loved it all, and would do it again!
College
As many of you may remember, I took the domestic route right outta highschool and married... took some courses at MCC, but really, my education was in LIFE 101, and I feel like I graduated with HONORS!
Workplace
Work schmork... it's a means to an end, my friends! But I've had some fun over the years with the companies I've worked for... working for a semiconductor manufacturer in the early '80's was a lot of fun as they were spending lots of $$ on entertainment! Since I've always been doing that kind of stuff, entertainment kind of came with the territory, so there were lots of fun events. Now, I call my own shots by working at home and taking in clients' typing work... it's flexible and pays well. It's time to enjoy life, you know?
