Donna's Story
When I finished school in 1978 I went on to Oakland Community College but never finished. I decided being married was more important. I married Bill Olson in June 1980. Three years later my daughter Rochelle was born. In 1986 my son William arrived. That was it for children for me. I worked at Advance Medical & Research Center until Aug 1988 when my husband's job moved us to West Michigan close to Grand Rapids. I have been there ever since. sh I would of married him first. He is a wonderful man and my true soul mate. When my son graduated from High School in 2004 we both started college that fall. I finished June 2008 with an Associates Degree in applied science. I passed my RN boards on Aug 28, 2008 and I am currently working in a nursing home and loving every minute of it. I am also a Hospice volunteer for Spectrum Health. I have been lucky that I am healthy. I still feel like I am in my 20's but have the body of a 50 year old. I have not been blessed with any grandchildren but I have a lot of grand pets. I am looking forward to seeing what the next 40 years will bring me.
