Donna's Story
Here is my life......After graduating college in 1993,I worked as an
Elementary School teacher and as a middle-grades math teacher for five
years. I have taught 5th grade, 6th grade, 7th grade, and 8th grade Math.
Me and my husband Tim have three children together, all girls, Leah age 14,
Sarah age 7, and Kaitlyn age 14 months.
I've been a stay-at-home-mom now for about 7 years. I sell books and
coupons on the internet part-time and Tim has a full-time job.
I'm Still married to Tim, it's been over 20 years. (actually, we first
married in 1988, divorced briefly in 1995 because of his insane jealousy,
then we got back together in 1997 and remarried and had two more children
together). Now we live in Margate with our three girls...we lived in
Pompano for 10 years in a tiny little house across from a park, now we live
in a much larger house, and we have the old house rented out as part of our
five-year plan. We still have our beach apartment (our first residence)
that we sublet as well.
We live in Margate. My sister Laura lives two streets behind me, and my
sister Karen lives two streets ahead of me. My mom is less than a mile away
as well. Karen has three kid...Expand for more
s, two boys and a girl, (ages 13 mos. to six
years), and Laura has four kids, two boys and two girls (ages 10 to 22
years).
I am planning to go back to work as a teacher as soon as the baby is three
years old....I am tired of juggling credit cards....I miss the paycheck, but
I am glad to stay home with the baby. Now I am considering getting a tiny
little white toy poodle that I fell in love with today (my sister Laura
wanted a dog and she dragged me with her to look at hundreds of dogs over
the past two weeks, I guess I was bound to fall in love with one). A dog is
a big responsibility, though, I hardly have time in my life right now for
all the things I have to do...I have laundry that needs to be done, books
that need to be packed and labeled, books that need to be inspected and
listed online for sale, I need to take the car into the shop, and there are
doctor's appointments all the time, etc....I don't know if I want to take on
the expense and extra time involved with a dog........but, boy, the baby
really loved the little doggie, and the baby is SO BORED with me all
day....she sits and watches TV.....today, she was laughing so hard and
really enjoyed the dog.
