Donna's Story
Recently divorced after 18yrs. of marriage. Moved back to Vegas after living in Nebraska for 14 yrs. My first grandchild was born this year Jayden James, he's wonderful. What a great surprise he was!
I'm a nurse, I work in Henderson and work as much as possible to take care of the kids. Two boys and two girls 18, 16, 11, & 5. Quite the span I know, but I wouldn't trade them for the world.
Still keep in touch with my best friends from high school Tracy and Toni. Last year I was still playing softball. This year had to get settled back into life in Vegas.
My son Stephen 16 likes sports and getting in trouble. Daughter Amanda 19, loves to read, but doesn't have the time since she's had the baby in April.She is currently living in Iowa. Daughter Alexis 12 likes softball and basketball, hope she keeps playing. Son Emilio 6 likes doing everything but going to bed and getting up in the mornings.I cant wait for my daughter son in law and grandbaby to come back here. Plus my grandson is getting so big I want him to know who I am. Hopefully March of 09 they will be here. ...Expand for more
I would like to go back to school and get my RN liscense. It's on hold til my life gets not so consumed with everything else. I will need to figure out how I'm gonna do it all on my own too. Once my daughter is back it will be a little easier. I depend on her a lot. Thank God I had her. I'll need her to help watch the other kids while I'm at work or school. The rest is all on me. I do feel guilty that I don't get to spend enough time with my kids when I'm working a at school all the time. I often wonder if the sacrifice is worth it. How much time is lost. I hope they understand one day that I do it for them. They are my reason for being and want them to have a good childhood and good life.
Well thanks for listening to me go on about that for a little while. having said all that I would love to get in touch with some adults for lunch, coffee, movies just to have grown up time.
