Donna's Story
After high school, I attended Loyola where I earned a BS in psychology, and then Illinois Benedictine College where I earned an MS in psychology. I worked for many years as a therapist/crisis worker at several social service agencies in Chicago.
I met my husband in 1998. Chris and I have been married since 1999. We have one son who was born in 2003. I'm always amazed - and feel a little old - when I run into former classmates who tell me that they have children who are in college - or even already out ...Expand for more
of college. My son will be 13 in a couple of months, and even that makes me feel old, yet, I don't feel that much different from when I was in high school or college!
I have been enjoying being a stay at home mom for my son for all these years, but soon (2 years) he'll be entering high school, and will need mom less and less, and will probably at that point get back to work in my field.
For now, though, I'm thoroughly enjoying being a full time mom to my son, and volunteering at his school and our parish.
