Donna's Story
Hello to all my fellow classmates!
I hope the years have been good to you all....I know you must have had your goals & dreams as I did mine so I am hoping you've managed to make some of them come true for you! If not, don't be discouraged, just keep striving for them....you'll get there, if you have faith and believe! I know, I am living my dreams...I feel so blessed!
I've done A LOT since high school, you might say I've lived a dream life, sort of....have definitely lived quite a life, that's for sure...ALWAYS following my heart and intuition in every situation. I am very happy where I am now after all the years of my crazy adventures. I could not settle down and stay, I had to move~had to live my life and experience much. To start, I have been married twice....but now I have found my soulmate (his name is Donny too~is that destiny or what?), the perfect one meant for me and we got married in December of 2007 at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. We live on the west coast. We are just getting started, together, on a new chapter in our lives...we started an entertainment business managing my husbands career ~ "D & D Enchanted Entertainment". Someday, down the line, in the future,we hope to have a complete talent agency...maybe. We'll see...it's a very good possibility...
I moved from New York in the late '80's to Hollywood, CA and lived there for many years during my 1st marriage. At that time and for many years, I lived a very heavy rock n' roll lifestyle. I always felt there was something "magical" about the entertainment field too, naturally gravitating towards it so Los Angeles was perfect for me. It was also where the music of the time was..."big hair" heavymetal. Although loving New York because it's one of the homes of my heart and will always be a part of me, I am drawn to the sun and I love the ocean and palm trees so California was perfect! I had a lot of fun there, even working at Paramount Studios for years (you would not believe how SHORT Mick Jagger is when you are standing next to him! haha). When I felt my time there was done (and after the divorce of my first marriage), I moved to Las Vegas and happily it'...Expand for more
s not too long of a drive back to LA, which my husband and I do often. Vegas has always held a sort of magical feeling for me as well...I am a real Disney fan and it always reminded me of a big adult Disneyland! I've lived in 3 major big city areas and it's been nice. My wonderful husband is from small towns. Big city girl, small town boy....it works!
My husband is an singer/entertainer so we travel a lot. He is one of the top Elvis performers in the world today. He is so rare in that he actually looks AND sounds like Elvis! Working as his partner & co-mgr./personal asst. has brought me to many, many states in the US including Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Nebraska, Tennessee, Iowa, Minnesota, North & South Carolina, New Mexico, Ohio, Florida, Kentucky, Washington and many more in between. I get to travel back to New York frequently which is nice because family still lives there. I've also been to Mexico, Canada & fulfilled a childhood dream of spending two weeks in Japan as well. I look forward to a 3 week trip to Australia in November of this year and another 6 week tour there in 2010. Our business has it's benefits! Seeing the world and meeting people everywhere is wonderful!
Over the years, I have become a deeply spiritual (not religious) person who is grateful for every single second of her life. My spirituality gives me my solid foundation with which to get through anything in life with strength, peace and trust. I feel my purpose on this earth is to somehow in some way bring joy & hope to others, to be a "cheerleader" for humanity. I hate to be a witness to suffering and always want to help make it better, somehow. I've been blessed with this "gift" of eternal, never-ending HOPE. No matter what I am going through, my foundation is always joyful. I am always ready & willing to help someone in need and to show them a better way whether it be in body, mind or spirit. Everyday I say, bring it to me! We manifest our destiny~you just have to have faith! Try it, you'll see....
